It's nerve-wrecking, I know. Graduating college and being done with school, after you finish what do you become? You're not a student anymore, you become a part of the working society. Now your title is your job position and the company you work for. Ooo nerve-wrecking right? Things like this cross my mind all the time, it's been more recent lately since I'm going to be graduating soon.
But I'm sure I'm not the only one, millions of people thinks about this all the time! We feel pressured to find a good job with a nice title just so you won't feel ashamed to answer when someone asks "what do you do?"
We put all of our work into finding that perfect job that sometimes when you stop you realize how behind you are on experiencing life. I wish to not let my job title determine who I am in life.
After graduation I want to travel to see the world and meet new people. I wish to work in a creative environment where I can grow in my abilities and experiences. I want to look for new hobbies and see what else I can do, who knows, I may have a hidden skill that I didn't know about!
I am grateful to have the support of my friends and family to continue to lift my spirits when i feel down, so I trust that I'll be okay in the future. I want to experience everything so I will know who I am without depending on my job title.
But tell me, when you finish school and someone asks "what do you do" do you know what to say?
